Create and Manage an Invite Link

An invite link lets people invite themselves to your server. You can limit links in time and revoke them at any time.

Create a link

1. Right-click the server name and choose Invite People.
2. Open the gear of the invite to choose Expire After and Max Number of Uses.
3. Copy the link and share it.

A link set to "Never" without a limit stays valid permanently. That is convenient, but you can no longer tie it to a specific campaign. For one-off guests a link with a single use is better.

Manage links

Under Server Settings, Invites you see all active links: who created them, how often they were used and when they expire. Delete links you no longer need there. If a link was passed on to a group it does not belong in, deleting it is the quickest protection.

Frequently asked questions

How do I see who created a link? In the list under Invites the creator is shown for each link.

Does an expired link still work? No. Whoever opens it later gets an error and needs a new link.
