Emoji Browser: Server Emojis and Favorites
How Kage's emoji browser shows server emojis, stores favorites, sets a default emoji for reaction roles and shows usage, with settings and troubleshooting.
Last checked for accuracy: 14 October 2026
The emoji browser is a helper in the dashboard: you see all server emojis at a glance, save favorites for quick access and set a default emoji for new reaction roles. It does not send anything to Discord itself.
Requirements
- Access to the module: You sign in to the dashboard with Discord and need the Manage Server permission (or access granted for this module).
- Plan: The plan notice at the top of this page shows which plan the module needs.
Browsing server emojis
The Server emojis section shows how many emojis your server has and lists them with a search field. Kage reads the list live from Discord without storing it. If the server has no custom emojis, a note says so. Emojis that Discord marks as unavailable are labelled "unavailable". Next to each emoji you see how often it appears in reaction role panels.
Favorites
Favorites appear under Favorites in the emoji pickers of other modules. This applies, for example, to reaction roles, role panels, automations and the setup assistant.
A favorite consists of:
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Emoji (unicode) | The emoji character, for example 🎉 |
| Label | A name, for example "Attending" |
| Category (optional) | A freely chosen tag for sorting, for example "Roles" |
So far, you add favorites by entering the unicode character. Saving one of your own server emojis as a favorite by clicking it in the list is not possible yet, as the page itself states.
Assignment for modules
With Default emoji for new reaction role rows, you decide which emoji is already preselected for a new row in the Reaction roles. Further assignments, such as giveaway entry or ticket button, are not implemented yet according to the page.
Settings at a glance
| Dashboard field | Meaning | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Emoji module active | Turns the module on | on |
| Favorites | List with emoji, label and category | empty |
| Default emoji for new reaction role rows | Preselection | none |
Checking the result
- Create a favorite: Enter an emoji and a label and click + Add.
- Save: Click Save.
- Check: In the reaction roles, open the emoji picker. Your favorite appears under Favorites.
Troubleshooting
The list of server emojis is empty
Your server has no custom emojis, or Discord is currently unreachable. Reload the page later.
A favorite does not appear in the picker
You have not saved yet, or the emoji module is switched off.
A server emoji cannot be saved as a favorite
That only works via unicode entry so far. Use the server emoji directly in the respective picker.
